The Issues
Tuscaloosa County
Property Rights Alliance
Thank you for visiting our web site! We hope the information here is beneficial and helpful to you. There is clearly a need to educate
and inform the people of Tuscaloosa County about issues that clearly threaten our property rights. Most people who live in the county
do so because they choose to live in the country! Many of us were raised in the unincorporated areas of Tuscaloosa County and are
raising our families in the “county” – that is, in the country. Many of us live in the country because we want to be independent and
self-sufficient and because we do not want every aspect of our lives controlled by bureaucracy. In other words, we want to be left
alone and leave others alone as well.
Most of us have been busy raising our families, earning a living, and paying taxes, and did
not notice the gradual loss of our liberties. Many will find it hard to believe what troubles are coming our way! We have trusted
local government to protect our interests, but we are learning, to our surprise, that our interests are not their interests!
The list
of victims of property rights abuses across Alabama counties continues to grow due to the Alabama Self-Governance Act, more commonly
known as “Limited Home Rule.”
We do not want victims in our county! Our local government representatives exist to protect and serve
us! We intend to hold them accountable!
The “Junk Ordinance” and Home Rule is NOT about “health and safety.” It is about BUREAUCRATS
TAKING COMPLETE CONTROL OF US AND OUR PROPERTY!
REMEMBER! WHEN LIMITS ARE PLACED ON YOUR PROPERTY PART OF YOUR PROPERTY HAS BEEN TAKEN
FROM YOU!
Property rights are under attack in our county! Now is the time to speak up and let our voices be heard. We have been quiet
for far too long. We can make a difference!
HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT STEPS YOU CAN TAKE TO PROTECT YOUR RIGHTS:
"Property must be secured or liberty cannot exist." John Adams
